Recycling medical waste is good for the environment and the safety of your hospital

by admin on November 16, 2007

A major hospital once came to us with a problem. They implored of us, “People understand that we have to get rid of sharps and other bio-hazardous materials, but they aren’t sure where to put them and why.”

We found that placing one of our RHOSP177 Recycling Posters in every operating room, nurse’s station and exam room helped facilitate the proper disposal of needles into sharps containers. This containers were outfitted with our write-on decals telling how to dispose of the entire container when full. Now the hospital has worked past this issue and is implementing other recycling policies in their institution.
