What does your plant do with it’s scrap?

by admin on October 28, 2007

It’s the nature of the manufacturing process in most industrial facilities that there will be product and there will be scrap. Sometimes, the scrap is designed to be scrap, as extra trim which is removed from a mold as it is stamped out. Other times, issues with quality control turn would-be-good parts into scrap. Whatever the process that creates the scrap, what do you do with it?

A good quality process for recycling is to minimize scrap as much as possible. Double check everything before a stamp is made. Use as little material as possible when producing stamped good. Melt down and recycle what little scrap you do create after these minimizing efforts are put into place. Together, we can Stamp Out Scrap!
