Recycling Inkjet and Toner cartridges not only save the earth, they save you money

by admin on October 5, 2007

It was a few years ago when the major printer manufacturers realized that the best way to corner the market was to sell cheap printers with expensive cartridges. As the consumables were consumed, they would force the consumer to reinvest in the company as they were now locked into a printing platform. Pretty smart, Mr. Printer Maker!

Then the competition appeared. There became a market for companies to take old ink and toner cartridges and recycle them. By recycling, they could use the same cartridge with similar (if not identical) ink and sell for less.

Most stores who sell ink now pay you a price (usually $1-5, or a free ream of paper) for your ink cartridges back. Thus, it’s now not only a good idea to recycle but also a fiscally responsible one.

To remind all of us of the importance of recycling ink cartridges, we’ve developed two posters for you to put near any and all printers in your facility.
