Why are not all of your items made from recycled materials?

A question that comes up occasionally is what we, as an environmental company, are doing to make our products as environmentally friendly as possible. The quick answer is that a number of our items are already made with recycled materials. These materials include recycled newspaper, denim, post-consumer plastic and corn resins. We’re adding more recycled products to our already extensive product line every day.

That said, we do still use some materials which are not recycled and will continue to use these until better alternatives become available. In our business model, our messages of energy conservation and environmental awareness are the most important facet of our products. We may sell products with those messages that are not made of recycled materials until better materials become available.

We make every effort to encourage customers to use recycled products. At times, customers request items that can not be made from recycled materials effectively or can not be made so in a cost effective manner. Knowing that the messages that these products contain will inspire others to save energy and conserve, the use of these materials is a small cost in considering the savings they invoke.
